Call for Application of Excellent Presentation Award of the 132nd Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Animal Science

The 132nd Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Animal Science will be held from September 16 (Mon.) to 20 (Thu.), 2024, at Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan.
Please apply for Excellent Presentation Award according to the following guidelines.

Application Guidelines

1． Eligibility
- The first author and presenter of the abstract must be a student member or a regular member 30 years old or less as of the end of February 2025.
- The content of the presentation must be new and unpublished.
- Only one presentation per person is allowed. The presenter should not be the same person as the presenter in the general session.

2． Application Procedure
After submitting your abstract for "Excellent Presentation Award" in the abstract submission site (http://jsas.confit.atlas.jp/login), please upload the following application document on the abstract submission site

Application form (including an abstract with 2,000 characters in Japanese (800 words in English) or less)

- Please download the Application Form (the document is prepared in Japanese) and prepare it in the Word format according to the example.
- The file name should be "Application Form XXXXX.doc" (XXXXX is the submission number in the abstract submission system).

If you have any questions about the award application procedure, feel free to contact the JSAS secretariat office at support@jsas-org.jp with the subject "Inquiry about Excellent Presentation Award."

3． Review Procedure

  1. If the number of applicants exceeds 40, we will conduct a preliminary screening based on the presentation's content (abstract of 2000 characters or less) indicated in the application form. Those not selected presentations will be subjected in a general session.
  2. The Screening Committee members appointed by the President of JSAS will conduct the review. Please click here (the document is prepared in Japanese) for the review points. 
  3. The background and purpose of the research (what has been elucidated, what is unresolved, what the presenter has tried to clarify, and what contribution this research will make to the development of animal science and the livestock industry) should be stated clearly in the abstract of the application form. They should also be included in the presentation.
  4. Award winners will be announced on the conference website. In addition, we will send out award certificates on a later date.

4．Notes
Please read the following notes before applying.

  1. The meeting secretariat office will send an application confirmation e-mail message within one week after the application deadline. If you do not receive this message, contact the secretariat office by phone at 03-3828-8409.
  2. E-mail correspondence is the basic communication channel between applicants and the secretariat office. Check your e-mail regularly until the meeting period.
  3. If you wish to withdraw your application after the deadline (including the transfer request to the General Lecture), send an e-mail to the application form address, support@jsas-org.jp, with the subject “Application Withdrawal XXXXX” (XXXXX is the submission name in the abstract submission system).
  4. Each year, we receive a considerable number of improper application forms. Be sure to check thoroughly before sending your forms.
